Selena Wang (Sales director of Suntime Precision mould)
I have started working in plastic injection moulds around 7years ago. First worked in a very famous company which is still a leading moulds manufacturer in China. At that time, I was just inside sales for plastic moulding projects following mainly responsible on Philips plastic parts shipment. That was the experience making me feel very interested in plastic injection moulds which are the mother of industry with shapes.
Years ago, I became a inside sales and then sales manager in Suntime precision mould. The impression of first trial was so deep in my head. That was a multi-cavity mould for a small PP clear part. The trial started very late, at that time, we faced a problem of sticking on the cavity. Because of knowing nothing about mould, I first thought that our company made mistake for this problem. But after, we finally changed the moulding parameter (raised the cavity mould temperature and lowered down the holding pressure) and everything went perfect. So talking about the sticking on mould, usually we do changes as below:
*Changing the injection parameter.
a).lower down the injection pressure
b).make shorter injection time
c).add more cooling time
d).lower down mould temperature
*Modification in moulds.
a). Do more polishing in surface
b). add more angle draft (after customers’ approval)
c). reduce the clearance between inserts
d). Add texture or undercut to help mould release. (after customers’ approval)
I love my job, especially when I learn things from it every day. When I fall in love with what I am doing, everything becomes interesting. Interest is the best teacher. :-)
